The well known cartridge filters are able to remove airborne dust particles and consequently make the air healthier and virtually eliminate the risk of product contamination. These specific air purification systems are in fact designed to capture and remove particles by exploiting a downward air flow. Once captured, these particles will be treated and rendered harmless.   ## How does a horizontal cartridge dust collector work?   In the modular, self-cleaning horizontal cartridge filters, not only is the air purified, but thanks to a specific mechanism the cartridges are periodically cleaned by compressed air in counterflow. The configuration of this type of dust collector allows airflow to the bottom,, ideal for the treatment of fine and light dust, typical of the pharmaceutical industry. A jet of compressed air is cyclically passed through the cartridges, causing a counter-current shaking of a certain intensity and able to detach and precipitate the polluting particles present. This operating mechanism of the system will remove the pollutants returning in fact clean and healthy air.
